Thanks to the great response and popularity of CRAMS, the Genilogic team are growing with big plans for the next 12 months.

CRAMS now has a rapidly growing client base and as such, the team are creating up to 10 positions over the next 12 months, including 4 positions for Apprentices.
Our Finance Director, Tim Chadwick, has recently finished an amended business plan following the overwhelming success the product has had since its launch in April 2018.
Our original business plan allowed for slow growth over the next 5 years, however, due to the success of CRAMS, we have been able to accelerate the growth rate on the business plan to expand the team over the next twelve months.
Tim Chadwick, Finance Director
We’re creating positions in our Scarborough office for a bookkeeper, a frontend developer, a backend developer and a product specialist to assist in deployments, as well as looking for two non-executive directors for the business.
Tim, who started his career as a Heating and Ventilation Engineer on an indentured Apprenticeship has also planned for four Apprentice positions over the next 12 months, the first of which is a Digital Marketing Assistant, which is currently being advertised.
Tim says once the new starter has been recruited and settled in, a further three apprentices will be sought to join the team in the form of two Apprentice Software Developers and a Business Administration Apprentice.
We have always been passionate about Scarborough as a location, and we are thrilled to be able to give back to our local community so soon by creating these apprentice positions, especially in such technical roles.
Tim Chadwick, Finance Director
The Digital Marketing Assistant position has been approved and will shortly be advertised by East Riding College via the National Apprenticeship Service and on the colleges’ website. The lucky applicant will work alongside astute entrepreneur, Jo Thompson, Sales and Marketing Director and Lucy Atkinson, Business Support Manager whilst attending weekly sessions at the Beverley Campus of East Riding College. The pair have been working together since January and since then have worked to create a solid database of leads by increasing marketing activity and creating engaging content.
We’ve had a lot of fun over the last 6 months toying with ideas and surprising ourselves when we were able to create the look and result we wanted to without outside help, we have built up a great catalogue of content, graphics and even animations, using a combination of my experience in business and marketing, Lucy’s IT experience and our mutual creative flairs, every Monday we look forward to our innovation meetings to see what challenges we are going to set ourselves for that week. Our vision for the marketing department is now slightly out of reach owing to just not having enough hours in the day, so we are thrilled to be recruiting for an extra pair of hands and we can’t wait to introduce them to the exciting opportunity we have for an enthusiastic learner.
Jo Thompson, Sales and Marketing Director
Jo has worked in business development for over 20 years before joining co-directors, Tim Chadwick and Justin Jones to embark on a journey developing CRAMS.
The team, currently made up of 7 members of staff, say that they owe a lot of the success of CRAMS over the past 15 months to the dynamic of their team.
We all gel together really well, everyone in the team brings something different having come from different sectors and backgrounds, so when we bounce ideas around with each other they naturally become more inclusive as we develop them together. So when we are thinking about adding to the team we are really looking to add more diversity. The main thing we look for though is passion, we have previously offered applicants a mini-CRAMS-demo in their interview, so we can get a feel for whether a person is going to be as passionate as we are about what we do, so far, it’s proved to be a great indicator.
Justin Jones, Director of Software Development
