The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) governs and enforces workplace health and safety within the UK. They also offer guidance on best practice, helping organisations carry out assessments and mitigate risk.
To save you time when carrying out key assessments we’ve created several interactive tools based on the guidance provided by the HSE.
MAC Assessment Tool
Our Manual Handling Assessment Charts Tool (MAC Tool) has been adapted from the HSE’s own tool and is designed to aid in the assessment of high-risk workplace manual handling.
Learn moreRAPP Assessment Tool
Our pushing and pulling risk assessment is based on the HSE’s own RAPP tool, which we’ve developed into an online resource that guides you through the assessment process.
Learn moreART Tool
Our Assessment of Repetitive Tasks (ART) tool will help you assess risk factors in repetitive work that could lead to Upper Limb Disorders (ULDs), and will suggest measures to avoid such injuries amongst your workforce in the future.
Learn moreDSE Assessment Tool
Our display screen equipment (DSE) assessment tool has been adapted from the HSE’s own checklist. It complies with the 1992 regulations on display screen equipment and the subsequent 2002 amendments.
Learn moreIntegration with CRAMS
Motivated to make the world of work a safer place, we provide free versions of all our HSE tools.
If you’re using CRAMS to manage your organisation’s health and safety at work obligations, these tools are bundled with the software. That means you benefit from their integration with your risk assessments and you’ll also be able to notify staff members to complete assessments, track their progress and store completed documents in the cloud.
We also offer a standalone, feature-rich version of our DSE assessment tool for organisations that don’t have a CRAMS subscription but need help to manage the DSE safety of their home and office-based employees.
