CRAMS is an acronym for Comprehensive Risk Assessed Method Statements, because it was with risk assessment software that our journey began.
Our solution has since evolved into something much more complete, but risk assessments and method statements are still front and centre. A CRAMS document consists of both of these components and also links out to various other innovative features, each designed to ensure comprehensive compliance.
Create
Save time and be more efficient at keeping people safe by using our method statement library and bespoke risk types when building your CRAMS document.
Store
New risks, controls and method statements can be stored for reuse, making it easy to build similar CRAMS, or new ones in the same area or with the same conditions.
Review
Your documents will be flagged for review at set intervals, ensuring that you don’t let your policies and procedures fall out-of-sync with current processes.
Risk assessment software
Identify your risks, pull through default risk types and then build on them to create safe systems of work using our health and safety risk assessment software. The Risk Matrix and Residual Risk Bar will help you quantify identified risks, and CRAMS will guide you through each step you need to take to protect your business and workforce.
Identified a control you didn’t plan for? No problem! You can use our risk assessment software to schedule implementation dates for controls and you’ll be reminded when they’re due. Once all controls are in place you can take the CRAMS out of ‘Pending Control’ and into ‘Live’ status, ready to distribute.

Online risk assessment
Completing a thorough risk assessment is the only way to ensure your employees are safe at work. With CRAMS at your side it’s easy to identify and control risks, and then communicate those risks to your employees. Health and safety compliance has never been easier than with our online risk assessment and method statement manager software.
Method statement software
A method statement is a document that outlines the step-by-step procedure that your staff must follow in order to safely complete a specific task. Method statements should be created for each work-related task and shared with every staff member involved in carrying out the task. CRAMS allows you to associate a method statement with the relevant risk assessment, ensuring all employees are working consistently and safely across your organisation.

Acknowledgement tracking
CRAMS prompts your employees to read and acknowledge their occupation-specific risk assessments and method statements. Before acknowledging a document, employees have the option to raise an issue if they need to. Acknowledgements can be audited and they expire when the document is changed, with employees prompted to reread the information each time it’s reviewed or amended, ensuring they’re always in the know.
