DSE assessment tool
The global pandemic has changed how we work, with many people now based at home. However, as an employer you’re still responsible for the occupational health, safety and wellbeing of your employees, just as you are for your office-based staff.
With that in mind we’ve built upon our free DSE assessment tool, fully integrating it within CRAMS. Users are now alerted when they need to carry out an assessment, are guided through the process and can be reassured that issues will be reported.
We also offer a feature-rich standalone solution – the most straightforward way to ensure your compliance and keep your DSE users healthy and happy, whether they’re home-based or working from the office.
Clear guidance
Our DSE assessment tool is accompanied by DSE training, which will help your team understand and manage the risks associated with using display screen equipment. Completion of DSE assessments and training courses is fully tracked, allowing you to monitor non-conformity through to resolution.
Remember, the DSE assessment tool only looks at the workstation and work environment. Consideration will need to be given to breaks or changes of activity, and you should also provide appropriate training to ensure that risks from other aspects of the work are avoided – our suite of 70+ e-learning courses is a great place to start!

Third-party or self-assessment
DSEs can be completed as a self-assessment before being reviewed by someone else in the organisation, or a third party can complete the assessment on behalf of an employee. Issues raised by the assessment are then reported to the appropriate person, ready to be reviewed.
We recognise that employees may work from different workspaces – for example at home and the office – so CRAMS allows you to complete as many DSEs as are required.
Standalone DSE software
You may not require a fully integrated HSE management solution but there’s a good chance you’d benefit from a better solution to manage remote workers and their DSE safety.
Available from just £8.50 per license, our standalone DSE software doesn’t require a full subscription to CRAMS and will allow your homeworkers to undertake workstation assessments, identify non-conformance and raise issues that can then be resolved in order to ensure their safety and your compliance.
